Senior Services announces November activities

WOONSOCKET - Senior Services Inc., 84 Social St., has announced its schedule of November activities at the Woonsocket Senior Center.

Senior Services will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11 due to Veterans Day and Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26 and 27, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Belltone Hearing screenings and cleaning will be held Tuesday, Nov. 9 to 11:30 a.m.

A Diabetes Awareness Month Wellness event, A1C, blood pressure and foot screenings will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Cooking with Bill is offered Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 10:30 a.m.

A Medicare Open Enrollment event will be held on Monday, Nov. 16, 1-5 p.m.

Healthy Holiday Eating, sponsored by Oakland Grove, will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 10:30 a.m.

A blood pressure screening will be held Thursday, Nov. 19 at 10:30 a.m.

The Senior Pitch League meets on Mondays at 8:30 a.m.

Country line dancing is held Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1:30-3:30 p.m. The cost is $3.

Line dancing with Sophie is offered on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 9:30 a.m.

Senior fitness classes are held every Wednesday at 10 a.m. Chair exercises will be every Friday at 10 a.m.

Entertainers this month are Robert Black on Thursday, Nov. 12, and Vini Ames on Thursday, Nov. 19. All performances begin at 10:30 a.m.

A Holiday Bake Sale will be held on Friday, Nov. 20, 9:30 a.m. to noon.

A Thanksgiving Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 11:30 a.m.
