Winter market to open in North Attleboro; vendors sought
NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - A winter market for farmers and artisans will be held on Sundays at the Masonic Temple, 46 South Washington St., beginning Nov. 8, from 1 to 5 p.m.
In addition to the market itself, David Scanlan, market manager, is looking for aspiring musicians who may want to provide entertainment to market patrons.
"I think this is a great opportunity for a musician or band that wants to get some exposure to come out and play for a few hours. It's not a paying gig, rather a way to get noticed and have a little fun, too." He is also looking to support local food pantries through a donation at the door of either non-perishable foods or a dollar or two.
Scanlan has secured commitments from several producers with products ranging from baked goods to cheese to jams, jellies and honey. He is continuing to seek out vendors who are looking to sell their locally produced foods and agricultural crafts at the market. Subject to space availability, there may be spaces for locally produced arts and crafts as well.
