BankRI plans free workshop for small business owners May 12

PAWTUCKET - Small business owners interested in growing their businesses are invited to attend a free workshop on Monday, May 12, at Bank Rhode Island, 499 Smithfield Ave., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

BankRI is teaming with Johnson & Wales University's Rhode Island Small Business Development Center to present "Reaching Your Potential: Resources for Your Small Business." The workshop is designed to provide small business owners with information and resources to spark competitive advantages for their businesses.

Learn about free resources available through the SBDC, including trainings, marketing seminars, and business mentors, as well as consultants who will visit businesses and make recommendations. In addition, attendees will learn about a variety of growth programs available through the Small Business Administration and get insight on what makes a good loan package from the perspective of a bank's small business underwriter. A bonus of attending the workshop is an opportunity to enter a free raffle and win full tuition for a Business Planning Seminar put on by the SBDC.
