No. Smithfield Land Trust holds ham and bean supper May 17

NORTH SMITHFIELD - The North Smithfield Land Trust will host a ham and bean fund-raising supper on Saturday, May 17, at the Primrose Fire Station 1470 Providence Pike.

Heads of the Land Trust say the dinner should invoke nostalgia in many residents who remember the old days when the popular ham and bean supper was a staple of fund-raising efforts for churches and fire departments in town. The cost of the supper is $10, and includes cornbread, coleslaw, homemade desserts, and a beverage.

Take-out orders are also available that night and tickets will be available at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at Village Paint and Hardware at Slatersville Plaza or by calling 766-7123.
