St. Antoine staff holds birthday party for Bishop Gelineau

BURRILLVILLE - Nearly 140 people gathered May 3 at Bella Restaurant to celebrate the 80th birthday of Bishop Louis E. Gelineau at a party planned by staff members of St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield, where the former leader of the Providence diocese serves as chaplain. Gelineau was presented a portrait of his dog, Buddy, that was painted by a local artist. He was also roasted, and a multimedia presentation was displayed. He became chaplain at St. Antoine in March 2004.
