Seniors should not expect free rides
Please tell me since when getting old entitles anybody to free bus service in order to go out and eat at a restaurant. These old timers have enough money for a chicken dinner at Wright's Farm, maybe a drink or two, and please don't forget the 20 percent tip for your server. However, with 25 people going at a cost of $75 for a driver, they just can't come up with another $3 to pay for that driver.
It's not only this group that wants free bus rides for various social activities, but there are another 12 groups waiting in the wings for free rides. Thanks Charlie for looking out for the rest of the town's taxpayers, even people like me who are as senior as they come but expect nothing free from our town.
Then there are the clowns that we call our town councilmen. They wanted to put the free bus rides in the town budget. Then the free rides would probably become an entitlement. Come on you clowns, stop sitting on your brains so that you can use them properly.
We all know you want to suck-up to the town's senior citizens because we always vote. Give us a free entitlement, and our vote is yours. Even though I'm as senior as many can get, I will not vote for you unless you treat all the people in the town fairly and stop sucking up to whatever special interest group that comes along with re-election money or certain votes.
