Making it to the pitch in North Smithfield Youth Soccer Association
NORTH SMITHFIELD - After an abbreviated week because of heavy rain, it was back to the soccer pitch on Saturday for the North Smithfield Youth Soccer Association Recreational League.
Adam DeStefano was on fire in the U-14 Coed League, blasting home all four of his team's scores as Navigant Credit Union posted a 4-2 win over Pro Products Web Design. Jake Decelles and Tyler Fontaine tallied for Pro Products. Game MVPs were Veronica Hardy and Angela Dansereau for Navigant and Katie Whalen and Lindsey Parent for Pro Products.
The Senator Tassoni team defeated Stanley Tree Service, 3-1. Megan Lafebvre, Nicole Paul and Dylan Naradowy scored for the winners, and MVPs were Megan Lefebvre and Alec Hubert.
Ben Stone scored for his team and Alex Laferriere and Andrew Charpentier were MVPs.
In Boys U-12 Division play, Leeway True Value got three goals from Ben Palmer and one from William Daniels and posted a 4-0 win over Law Offices of Aram P. Jarret. Game MVPs were Duncan Lanier and Jacob Haner for Leeway and Brian Dansereau and Matt Annunziata for Jarret.
Chelo's and Li'l General battled to a 1-1 tie. Sean Murphy had the goal for Chelo's and MVPs were Miles Fontaine and Chris Matulaitis. Matt Laferriere had his team's goal and Ben Alexio was MVP.
In Girls U-12 Division games, Stanley Tree Service chopped down MFLUSA Inc., 5-1, as Samantha Kent smacked home three goals. Also scoring for the winners were Gabrielle Fernandes and Maddison Zuba and MVPs were Kent and Kayla Shaw.
Coffee and Cream spanked Dan Couture's Trophy Hutch, 7-1. Faith Jacobson plowed in three goals, Samantha Kent, two, and Olivia Stone, two for the winners. MVPs were Caitlin Murray and Sam Demers.
During games in the Girls U-10 Division, Pro Products Web Design and Cote's Auto Body put on a defensive struggle until Pro Products pulled out a 1-0 win on a goal by Olivia Marcantonio, who was MVP of her team along with Cassandra Laferriere and Ashley Mineau.
Coffee and Cream got three goals from Meredith Parsons, two from Vanessa Venkatamaran and one each from Jessica Kent and Nicole Labossiere and posted a 7-0 win over Stanley Tree Service. MVPs were Alexis Labelle and Lauren Cloutier.
In Boys U-10 Division action, BoDee's Circle of Music edged United Rentals, 3-2. Lucas Mariotti, two, and Sam Chase tallied for BoDee's and were MVPs. Nick Louro had both of his team's goals.
D'Agostino's Seal Coating belted Spools of Design, 6-0. Kyle Dean scored three goals for a hat trick, Jacob Labonte had two scores and Michael Fernandes added one for the winners. Game MVPs were Kyle Dean, Ryan Suttmeier, Riley Runk and Alex Thurley.
Ryan Deslauriers exploded for four goals to lead Above All Roofing to a 6-4 win over Darveau Land Surveying. Also scoring for the winners were Joshua Mandeville and Kyle Haner and Deslauriers and Liam Newberry were MVPs. Noah Darveau, two, and Michael DeRonde, two, scored for Darveau and Matthew Hetu and Jacob Amato were MVPs.
In U-8 Coed play, New England Self Storage and Stanley Tree Service battled to a 2-2 tie. Cameron Ferra had both goals for New England, and MVPs were Connor Huntley and Nathan Bursell. Kyle Alves and Michael Belcher scored for Stanley and MVPs were Michael Belcher, Amanda Haner and Forest Zuba.
Chamberland and Co. defeated European Custom Casework, 6-4. Cade Curran and Brayden Driscoll scored three goals each for the winners and shared MVP honors. For European Custom Casework, Mitchell Prudhomme tallied all four goals. MVPs were Luke Silvia and Kristyn Williams.
Beauchemin Lumber edged Dr. LaRoche's Mighty Choppers, 1-0, behind a goal by Jack Ngyuen. MVPs were Daniel Beauchemin, Aidan Beauchemin, Alyson Paux and Jackson Laferriere.
Hamel & Newton and Sports System Custom Bags played to a 4-4 tie. Douglas Newton, three, and Ethan Kimiecik scored for Hamel and Newton.
