Cougar boys finish soccer season winless
NORTH PROVIDENCE - The North Providence High School boys soccer team showed improvement over last season, but could not win a game this season.
The squad finished 0-14-2 in Division II North after losing its final match of the season, 8-3, to Lincoln last week.
If there is solace to take, it's the fact that the team scored 14 goals this season compared to none last year, but it gave up 78, the most in the league.
Knocking home goals for the Cougars were Alex Mendoza, two, and Nick Aquilante. John Florez earned a pair of assists for North Providence and Evan Rios added one.
Andrew Smith had 10 saves.
