North Smithfield youth soccer winding down
NORTH SMITHFIELD - It was a bit soggy, but already with several rain-outs this season, the North Smithfield Youth Soccer Association sloshed through its games Saturday at the North Smithfield Elementary School fields.
In U-8 Coed League play, Ian Hartley scored all three of his team's goals to lead Comtorgage to a 3-2 win over European Custom Casework and was named team MVP.
Cade Curran continued his scoring streak, popping in four more goals to lead Chamberland and Co. to a 6-1 win over New England Self Storage. Brayden Driscoll added the other two scores. Madison Reynolds fired one into the net for New England. Game MVPs were Curran, Abigail Goodreau, Isabelle Tanner and Taylor Yuszcak.
Stanley Tree Service cut down Hamel & Newton, 3-1. Scoring for the winners were Kyle Alves, Hunter Turek and Michael Belcher, and Belcher was MVP.
Dr. Laroche's Mighty Choppers chomped Sports Systems Custom Bags, 6-1. Bryan Decelles scored three goals, and Anthony Parente, Jackson Laferriere and Alyssa Neri, one each for the winners. Maxwell Bischoff had his team's only score. MVPs were Alyssa Neri, Anthony Parente, Rachel Shaw and Sophie Staelen.
Beauchemin Lumber got goals from Jake Pucetti and Matthew DeNezza and posted a 2-0 decision over Beef Barn. Evan Gravel had his team's score and MVPs were Kaelyn Helm, Cole Dubois, Madison Pierce and Sean Poisson.
In the Boys U-10 Division, United Rentals rolled up a 5-1 win over Spool of Design. Scoring for the winners were Jarrod Dube, two, Nick Louro, James Schmidt and Chris Marsella, and Dube was MVP.
D'Agostino's Seal Coating ran past Darveau Land Surveying, 5-1. Michael Fernandes was on fire, scoring three goals, and John DerBedrosian and Kyle Dean added one each for the winners. Fernandes and DerBedrosian were MVPs. Noah Darveau scored for his team and Jacob Amato and Stephan Turcotte shared MVP honors.
Above All Roofing and BoDee's Circle of Music battled to a 4-4 tie. Ryan Deslauriers, three, and Justin Decelles scored for the roofers and shared MVP honors. For BoDee's, Adam Blakemore, two, Paul Brodeur and Sam Chase had goals, and MVPs were Chase and Jared Helm.
During games in the Girls U-10 Division, Pro Products Web Design got two goals each from Cassie Laferriere and Olivia Marcantonio and posted a 4-1 win over Stanley Tree Service. Lauren Cloutier had her team's score. MVPs were Jackie Eddy, Emma Grant, Ashlee Mineau and Madison Gravel.
Coffee and Cream dented Cole's Auto Body, 4-2. Meredith Parsons, Jessica Kent, Alexis Labelle and Vanessa Vankataraman scored for the winners, and MVPs were Nicole Labossiere and Rita Marcotte. Grace Bischoff and Eileen Whalen scored for Coffee and Cream and MVPs were Katelyn Louro and Bischoff.
In Girls U-12 Division games, MFL USA Inc. and Coffee and Cream battled to a 3-3 tie. Nicole Turcotte, Samantha Gallant and Katie Shaw scored for MFL and MVPs were Amy Colvin and Julia Rodrigues. For Coffee and Cream, Missy Cianci netted a pair of goals and Ellyn Naradowy got one. MVPs were Olivia Stone and Cassie Malo.
Stanley Tree Services got by Dan Couture's Trophy Hutch, 3-1, as Gabrielle Fernandes, Samantha Kent and Olivia Stone scored. Fernandes and Saige MacLeod were MVPs. Emily Sheridan had her team's score and shared MVP honors with Abby Narodowy.
In Boys U-12 Division play, Leeway True Value got a pair of goals from Adam Carey and edged Chelo's, 2-1. Marc Parsons got his team's score. MVPs were Cameron Furtado, Jacob Haner and Luke Watkins.
Li'l General defeated Law Offices of Adam P. Jarrett, 4-1. Devon Mayewski popped in three goals for a hat trick and Ben Alexio added a score for the winner. Brian Dansereau had his team's score and MVPs were Dansereau and Jacob Forbes.
In Coed U-14 play, Pro Products Web Design beat Senator Tassoni, 5-1.
Stanley Tree Service blanked Navigant Credit Union, 3-0. Ben Stone scored two goals and Justin Economos, one, for the winners. MVPs were Kevin Taratuta and Nathan Zuba.
