It's playoff time for the North Providence Jets
NORTH PROVIDENCE - All four North Providence Jets Rhode Island Pre-Teen Football League teams are going to the playoffs.
Two of the teams, the Junior Pee Wees and the Varsity, have compiled perfect regular season records of 8-0, while the Pee Wee and Junior Varsity squads have both completed the regular season at 6-2.
All four teams will be playing in the first round of playoffs being played Sunday at the North Providence High School field.
In final regular season games on Sunday, only the Varsity and Pee Wee teams were in action. The other two teams won by forfeit because the West Elmwood Intruders could not field teams.
In the Pee Wee game, North Providence got off to an early start and barreled over the Intruders, 36-6. The same was true in the Varsity contest, where the Jets took a 30-0 win.
