The Mounties downed the Spartans in the regular-season finale, three games to one at SHS. Katherine "Rocco" Corsi paced the hosts' floor game with 13 kills, five digs and three blocks. The blues took the third game, 25-8.

Scituate hosted a quarter-final playoff game on Tuesday night.

Ponaganset handled Cumberland in Division I-North last week, 3-0 on home court, lifting their record to a game over .500 at 9-8. Becky Short had 15 kills and five digs for the hosts and Alicia Turbitt added five kills and seven digs.

The Chieftains wrapped up the regular season at Classical last Thursday and rallied from a first-set loss to take down host Classical, 3-1. The win was the Chiefs' fourth straight and put their final record at 10-8. That earned them the third seed in the D-I playoffs.
