CUMBERLAND - Rained out last week, the Cumberland Youth Baseball/Softball League will host its annual pitch, hit and run competition for town children on Saturday, May 10 from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at Tucker Field, Mendon Road.

Sponsored by Major League Baseball and Aquafina, the competition is for boys and girls 7-14 and tests their skills in throwing, running and batting from a tee.

Competitors will be divided by age group, 7-8, 9-10; 11-12, and 13-14, and individual winners as well as the overall winner in each division will be awarded prizes and be eligible to advance to sectional competition at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket.

All participants are required to bring a copy of their birth certificate.
