Rod and Gun Club hosting weekend fishing tournament for disabled

BURRILLVILLE - The Wallum Lake Rod and Gun Club will host its annual Fishing Derby on June 12 and 13.

The Saturday tourney is for individuals with mental and physical difficulties. The club will provide poles, bait and food for participants, and club members will be present to assist anyone needing help.

Prizes will be awarded for largest fish weighed in, and for participating in the event. This program has only one rule: to provide a great day of fishing for all involved.

On Sunday, June 13, the club ponds are open to all children.
