Roundhouse tops B-2 Division in Rhode Island Senior Softball

After being dropped a pair of levels, Roundhouse Tavern is cleaning up in the Rhode Island Senior Softball League's B-2 Division.

The team is 10-2 for the season and is firmly entrenched in first place. Last year, the team competed on the A-2 level. On Sunday, Roundhouse continued its strong play, taking down Anderson-Winfield of the B-3 Division, 11-5 and 16-6. In other B-2/B-3 crossover games, Clark and Sons took a pair from Abbott Action, 14-10 and 9-3; Paul's split with Francis Farm, 11-13 and 19-7, and Woodmansee Insurance and Nassa 65 split, 13-16 and 12-0.

Roundhouse tops B-2 at 10-2, followed by Clark and Sons, 7-5; Paul's, 7-7; and Woodmansee, 4-9.

In B-3, Nassa Flooring 65 is in first place at 9-3, followed by Francis Farm B, 8-5; Anderson Winfield, 2-10; and Abbott Action, 2-12.

In A-2/B-1 crossover games, The Valley Breeze swept Pond House, 12-3 and 19-17; Elmwood Sports took two from Foxwoods Casino, 12-5 and 11-10; 133 Club won both against Nassa 60, 18-6 and 9-7; and Francis Farm A swept Gov. Francis, 14-10 and 18-6.

The Valley Breeze is in first place in B-1 at 10-2, followed by Nassa Flooring 60, 6-4; Foxwoods Casino, 4-8; and Governor Francis Inn, 3-7.

In A-2, 133 Club is in first at 5-5, followed by Francis Farm A, 6-7; Pond House, 4-7; and Elmwood Sports, 4-8.

In the C Division, SJK Landscaping scored a narrow 3-2 win over Nelson Mack VFW. Nelson Mack won the first game, 12-2. CVS swept Cam Engineering, 7-4 and 8-7; Wanskuck Post VFW swept Graziano Marble and Tile, 16-1 and 6-1; and El Azteca Restaurant and Atwood Tan split, 7-3 and 2-14.

El Azteca is in first place at 10-2, followed by Wanskuck, 9-3; Atwood Tan, 7-5; Nelson Mack VFW, 7-5; CVS, 6-6; Cam Engineering, 4-8; Graziano, 3-9; and SJK Landscaping, 2-10.
