Barbara M. Stanley - Smithfield

She was the wife of Joseph P. Stanley. They had been married for 55 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Jerome and Angelina (Ruggiano) Carcieri. She had been a resident of Greenville for 49 years. The joys in her life were cooking, gardening, snow skiing and above all, her family. She also was a long time member of the Glocester Country Club. Besides her husband she is survived by her sons, Joseph P. Stanley Jr. and his wife Susan of Foxboro, Mass., Kenneth J. Stanley and his wife, Doreen of Chepachet and Michael D. Stanley and his wife Cindy of Greenville; her six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; and her brothers, Jerome Carcieri and his wife Frances of Tampa, Fla., and Anthony Carcieri and his wife Janet of Warwick.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville.
