Doris M. Levesque - North Smithfield
Doris M. (Caouette) Levesque, 88, formerly of Greenville Road died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, in Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford, Mass. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Levesque. Born in Woonsocket and a 1938 graduate of the former St. Clare High School, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Roseanna (Gregoire) Caouette. Mrs. Levesque worked 10 years as a nursing assistant at Zambarano Hospital, retiring in 1983. She had previously worked at O'Rourkes Children's Center, the Wrentham State School and the former Falls Yarn Mills. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church.
She leaves her son-in-law, Conrad Fortin of North Smithfield; a brother, Adelard Caouette and a sister, Lucille Lanctot, both of Cumberland; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Jeanne Fortin and sister of the late Edgar Caouette.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at 9 a.m. from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone, Mass. Calling hours are Monday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Children’s Relief Fund, c/o Child Fund International, 2821 Emerywood Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294
