Doris M. Levesque - North Smithfield

She was the wife of the late Albert J. Levesque. Born in Woonsocket and a 1938 graduate of the former St. Clare High School, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Roseanna (Gregoire) Caouette. Mrs. Levesque worked 10 years as a nursing assistant at Zambarano Hospital, retiring in 1983. She had previously worked at O'Rourkes Children's Center, the Wrentham State School and the former Falls Yarn Mills. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church.

She leaves her son-in-law, Conrad Fortin of North Smithfield; a brother, Adelard Caouette and a sister, Lucille Lanctot, both of Cumberland; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Jeanne Fortin and sister of the late Edgar Caouette.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at 9 a.m. from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone, Mass.
