Jeanne L. Fortin - North Smithfield

She was the wife of Conrad B. Fortin, whom she married April 25, 1964. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Doris M. (Caouette) Levesque of North Smithfield and the late Albert J. Levesque. Mrs. Fortin most recently worked three years as a legal clerk at CVS Corporate Office in Woonsocket, leaving in 2001, and previously had worked for 18 years as a neurovascular technician at Woonsocket Hospital, now Landmark Medical Center. Years ago she was an active participant in the CYO and its Mr. and Mrs. Club.

Besides her husband and mother she leaves two sons, Stephen D. Fortin and his wife Anne Marie of Norton, Mass., and Thomas B. Fortin and his wife Kerrianne of North Smithfield; a daughter, Christine L. Cote and her husband Jeffrey of Uxbridge, Mass.; and six grandchildren, Gregory and Carolyn Cote, Jessica, Joshua and Abigail Fortin and Kayla Perdomo.

Her funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at 9 a.m. from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, Mass. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 – 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
