John W. Hall - Cumberland

John W. Hall, 81, of North Smithfield, formerly of Cumberland, died Wednesday, Nov. 11 in the St. Antoine Residence.

He was the husband of Annette (Lariviere) Hall. Born in Bushnell, Ill., he was the son of the late Dwight and Marie (Hunt) Hall. He resided in North Smithfield for more than two years, previously residing in Cumberland for 35 years. He was a sales representative for Billy Goat Industries for many years, retiring in 1993. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of VFW Post 10213, Lincoln, serving as quartermaster for more than 10 years. Besides his wife he leaves three children, Linda Carson of Moline, Ill., William Hall or Rock Island, Ill., and Michael Hall in Japan. He also leaves a grandson, Ian Hall in Japan.

A funeral with military honors will be held Friday, Nov. 20 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in the St. Antoine Residence Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veteran Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
