Lloyd Albert Perry - Scituate
Lloyd Albert Perry, 53, born June 28, 1954, in Lafayette, Ind., peacefully began the next part of his journey April 25, 2008.

He was married for 34 years to his best friend, Patti Perry. He was enchanted and loved by his daughter, Sarah Grant, who married Randy Grant and so provided him with the son he never had. Lloyd had two grandchildren, Wyatt Coyote and Willow Lili Grant. They brought much laughter and delight to his life. Lloyd lived in the Hope section of Scituate for the past 28 years and was known for his generous friendship and willingness to always help a neighbor and make a child laugh. Lloyd loved music, loud Hawaiian shirts, feeding the birds, gardening and really bad jokes. He was a Master Carpenter his whole life and shared that gift with many. He frequently would stop his day’s work and make a toy for a child. An avid fisherman, he was a life member of the North American Fishing Club. He was recognized by Field & Stream magazine for catching an award winning Northern Pike. Lloyd and Patti frequently went to their much-loved New Orleans to enjoy music, food and the people. In lieu of flowers, he requested that donations be made in his honor to the Greater New Orleans Food Bank to help the people of that city.

Legend has it that when a man went to the Buddha professing his grief over the loss of a friend, the Buddha gave him particularly sage advice: throw a party. Chinese attitudes include the belief that life, without death, would not be possible. Knowing that it is human nature to miss someone you love, please remember the joy and happiness that Lloyd brought to all. Services will be a celebration of his life to be held on his birthday, June 28 at 7 p.m. at the Ring Rock Acres beach. Husband, father, brother and friend, “Lloyd, this Bud’s for you!”
