Majel L. Burlingame - Glocester

She was the wife of the late Edward W. Burlingame. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Rupert J. and Lucy L. (Law) Hyde. Mrs. Burlingame lived in Glocester most of her life and also lived in Kissimmee and St. Cloud, Fla., for 20 years. She was a member of Chepachet Union Church and Queen of Sheba, #10 Order of Eastern Star. When her sons were younger, she was a den mother with the Cub Scouts.

She was the mother of Russell H., Peter G. and Edward C. Burlingame, all of Chepachet; the sister of Cynthia Bates of Northborough, Mass., and the late Colin Hyde; and the grandmother of eight and the great-grandmother of 18.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at 10 a.m. in Chepachet Union Church, 1138 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Arrangements are by Tucker-Quinn Funeral Chapel, Greenville.
