Minnie Alberta Doeg - Cumberland
Minnie Alberta Doeg, a resident of Emerald Bay Manor in Cumberland for a few years, died peacefully there Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009.She was married to the late Vernon P. Doeg who predeceased her in 1975. Mrs. Doeg was born in Billtown, Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1923 to the late Fred and Marie (Morton) Margeson. She was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1941. Mrs. Doeg lived in Hyde Park, Mass., for many years and worked as a receptionist for Dr. Schwartz at his office in Hyde Park. Her many hobbies included reading, Bingo and playing cards. She leaves her son, Raymond P. Doeg and his wife Patricia of Cumberland; and her daughter Carolyn Cox and her husband Gary of Louisville, Ky. She also leaves two grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Violet Phares.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton, Mass. Donations in Minnie’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
