Patricia Louise Colafrancesco - North Providence
Patricia was born June 4, 1933, in North Providence to the late Albert and Alberta Dragon. She attended North Providence High School and graduated in 1950. On Sept. 2, 1957, she was united in marriage to Rocco J. Colafrancesco. In 1957 her adventure began as wife and mother of three in a military family. Although she was apprehensive at first about moving every few years with the military, Patricia made many friends from her military travels throughout the country and she loved each and every place they lived. With each move, Patricia had the ability to transform each house into a nurturing home. She was a warm, generous person, devoted mother and grandmother. After 27 years in the Army and having lived in Rhode Island, New York City, Virginia and abroad, Rocco retired from the military and they made Williamsburg, Va., their home. They have been dedicated members of St. Bede Catholic Church for more than 28 years.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother Leon Dragon. She leaves Rocco, her husband of 52 years; her three children, Rocco Colafrancesco Jr. (Amy) and Karen Gallagher of Williamsburg, Va., and her youngest, Stephen Colafrancesco (Tracy) of Tampa, Fla.; two granddaughters, Marialena and Holly; and two grandsons, Stephen and Rocco III. She also leaves her sister, Lorraine Ricci (Vincent), and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg, Va., Monday, Nov. 16, with Rev. Arlon Vergara of St. Bede officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to St. Bede Parish, P.O. Box 5400, Williamsburg, VA, 23188. Online condolences may be made at www.nelsencares.com.
