Sandra M. Brush - Glocester
Sandra M. (Larson) Brush, 70, of Harmony died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at home.She was the beloved wife of Donald A. Brush. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Raymond E. and Sigrid G.A. (Carlson) Larson. Sandra was a registered nurse at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital for many years and the school nurse at Harmony Hill School from 1972- 2001 before retiring. She lived in Greenville before moving to Glocester in 1972. She was a 1958 graduate of Cranston High School and graduated from Pawtucket Memorial School of Nursing in 1961. Sandra was an avid “average” golfer and member of the Glocester Country Club, a member of the Smithfield Junior Womens Club, Pawtucket Memorial Hospital Nurses Alumni Association, VASA Order of America and a former member and Sunday school teacher at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cranston. She enjoyed photography, sailing, ceramics and being a foster parent and grandparent.
Besides her loving husband of 45 years she leaves her children, Nancy R. Mendizabal and her husband Roberto, David A. Brush and his wife Camie, Cynthia A. Baumann and her husband Robert, Bethany L. Zimnoch and her husband Robert and Erica S. Jennewine and her husband John. She also leaves her brother, Ray A. Larson and 10 grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Greenville Baptist Church, 582 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Route 44) Greenville. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations to Multiple Sclerosis Society, Rhode Island Chapter, 205 Hallene Road, Suite 209, Warwick, RI 02886 would be appreciated.
