SMITHFIELD - Mr. and Mrs. Steve and Lois Barborak announce the engagement of their daughter, Gillian Barborak, to Jeremy Ross of North Oxford, Mass., son of Kevin and Joann Ross of Plymouth, Mass.

The future bride graduated from Smithfield High School in 1999 and Community College of Rhode Island in 2003. She owns a personal training business outside of Worcester, Mass. Her fiance graduated from Arch Bishop Williams High School in Braintree, Mass. in 1997 and the University of Tampa in 2001. He is a sales representative for Kross Co. in Kingston, Mass.

They are planning to marry on October 17, 2008.
