CUMBERLAND - Mr. and Mrs. Ken and Faye Bonollo, former Cumberland residents for more than 40 years, returned home to celebrate their 50th anniversary with family and friends.
The couple married on March 15, 1958, in North Carolina.
A party was held in their honor at Good Times Restaurant in Cumberland. Their grandson, the Rev. Brandon Lemois, officiated their renewal of wedding vows.
Mrs. Bonollo retired from the former Premier Thread Company of Lincoln and Bristol. Mr. Bonollo was the longtime proprietor of Ken's Foundation Company, and served as a reserve officer for the Cumberland Police Department. He was a commissioner for the Berkeley and Cumberland fire districts, and a longtime member of the Cumberland Crimestoppers. He now serves as a reserve officer with the Oxford (N.C.) Police Department.
The couple have four children, Carleton Bonollo of Pawtucket, Maria Lemois of Cumberland, Buddy Bonollo of Cape Coral, Fla., and the late Kenneth Bonollo. They have eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
