Engagement - Ducharme - Austin

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Shelley Ducharme and Luke Austin announce their engagement. She is the daughter of Donald and Georgette Ducharme of Woonsocket. He is the son of Denise Austin of Westminster, Mass.

The future bride graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1999. She is employed as an engineer for the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.

The future groom graduated from Immaculate Heart of Mary School in 1998. He was licensed as a journeyman electrician in 2006 with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, local union 96, NJATC.

The couple plan to wed on Oct. 24.
