Mr. and Mrs. Gentili celebrate their golden anniversary

WOONSOCKET - Elmo (Mamo) and Constance Gentili celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 29 with a surprise celebration at the River Falls Restaurant. The party was attended by 110 guests and entertainment was provided by the Vini Ames Trio.

The couple were married on Aug. 7, 1959 at St. Louis Church. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Durochers. Mrs. Gentili is the former Constance Badeau.

Mrs. Gentili was a bookkeeper at Deblois Oil Company for 46 years. She was also a labor clerk for the late Sen. Roger Badeau for 10 years. She enjoys dancing to Vini Ames, beaches, gardening, Foxwoods and WWII State Park.

Mr. Gentili was a maintenance caretaker for the state of Rhode Island for 23 years. He has been a member of the Italian Workingmen's Club for 56 years and is currently on the board of directors. He enjoys dancing to Vini Ames, fishing and Foxwoods.
