Landrys celebrate their 50th
LINCOLN - Richard W. and Lorraine H. Landry celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 30 with a party given by their children at Bella's Restaurant in Burrillville. Special musical presentations were performed by the couple's grandchildren Bethany and Michael Riel, Emily, Sarah, Alex, Joshua and Christina Correira and Abigail Landry.
Members of the couple's wedding party who attended the event were best man Bertrand Landry of Florida and bridesmaids Patricia Dufresne of Charlotte, N.C. and Elaine Bruyere of Blackstone. Guests came from as far as Idaho, Georgia and Florida.
The couple also renewed their wedding vows at St. James Church in Manville. The Rev. Richard Desaulniers officiated the ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Landry were married on Aug. 29, 1959 at St. Ann Church in Woonsocket. Mrs. Landry is the former Lorraine H. Malo.
They are the parents of Cheryl Correia and her husband Eric of Woonsocket, James Landry and his wife Maureen of Somerset, Mass. and Christine Riel and her husband Richard of Woonsocket. They have 9 grandchildren.
Mrs. Landry is employed as a member service representative at Coventry Credit Union. She was also employed for many years at Eastland Bank, formerly Woonsocket Institution for Savings. She enjoys crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mr. Landry was employed by New England Instrument for 33 years, retiring in 1999. He is a member of the Albion Social Club and enjoys golfing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
