Lawrence and Ruth Morrissey celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

CUMBERLAND - Lawrence and Ruth Morrissey celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends on July 11.

Mr. and Mrs. Morrissey were married on July 4, 1959 at St. Leo the Great Church in Pawtucket. Mrs. Morrissey is the former Ruth Williamson.

The couple are the parents of Micheal Morrissey of Lincoln, Karen Ferrara of Cranston, Kevin Morrissey of Portsmouth and Beth Lewis of Laguna Vista, Texas. They are the grandparents of Sean and Kyle Morrissey and Maximilian and Elizabeth Ferrara.

Mrs. Morrissey retired from the Diamond Hill Nursing Center. Mr. Morrissey retired from Unysis Inc. The couple enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
