Mr. and Mrs. Piti celebrate their golden anniversary

SMITHFIELD - Nicholas and Jean Piti marked their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 8 at a celebration with their family at Chester's Restaurant.

Mr. and Mrs. Piti were married on Aug. 14, 1959 at St. Edward Church in Providence. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Callanan. Mrs. Piti is the former Jean Iavarone.

The couple are the parents of Kevin Piti of Greenville, Denise Battey of Lincoln and Patricia Piti of Cranston. They are the grandparents of Rachel Battey of Lincoln and Sebastian Beaudet of Woonsocket.

Mrs. Piti was employed as a clerical administrator. She enjoys reading and crafts. Mr. Piti was employed as a general contractor. He enjoys music. They both enjoy spending time with family.
