Carl and Eva Zoubra celebrate 50 years of marriage

CUMBERLAND - Carl and Eva Zoubra celebrated their 50th anniversary with a party given by their children on Sept. 6 at Trattoria Romana Restaurant in Lincoln.

Mr. and Mrs. Zoubra were married on Aug. 29, 1959 at St. Joseph Church in Cumberland. The Rev. John Heany officiated the ceremony. Mrs. Zoubra is the former Eva Gilbert.

The couple are the parents of Edward Zoubra, Robert Zoubra and Cynthia Bissonnette. They are the grandparents of Sean Bissonnette, Joshua Bissonnette, Ryan Bissonnette and Daniel Bissonnette.

Mrs. Zoubra is a home-maker and retired nursing assistant. She enjoys painting, knitting and gardening.

Mr. Zoubra is a retired manager of distribution engineering at Eastern Utilities. He is a member of the zoning board in Cumberland and enjoys playing golf.
