Lydia A. Lendry - Johnston

Lydia A. Lendry 95, of Greenville Avenue, Johnston, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Miriam Hospital.

She was the widow of Roland J. Lendry. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lydia (Decato) Tondreau, she had been a resident of Johnston for 12 years and previously had lived in Providence. She was a lab technician for Parflex Rubber in Providence, retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Aime Forand Senior Citizens and the Cherry Hill Residence associations. She leaves her children, Carole Tedeschi and her husband John of Lincoln, and Donald Lendry and his wife Barbara of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Albertina Dion of Bradenton, Fla.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Eleanor Slater Hospital, Zambarano Campus, Patients for Progress, 2090 Wallum Lake Road, Pascoag, RI 02859.
