Michael C. DeGennaro - Woonsocket

Mr. Michael C. DeGennaro, 82, of Woonsocket, died Wednesday, April 23, at Landmark Medical Center.

He was the beloved husband of the late Anne R. (Hreczuch) DeGennaro. Born Nov. 6, 1925, in Milford, Mass., a son of the late Cosmo and Vincenza (Salicito) DeGennaro, he was a lifelong city resident. Mr. DeGennaro worked as a rubber spreader for Archer Rubber Company in Milford for many years before retiring. After retirement, he worked as a dietary aide for Landmark Medical Center for seven years. He was a member of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge #13 in Woonsocket and a member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church for the past 62 years. He leaves his daughter, Michelle Archibald of Vermont; a brother, Joseph A. DeGennaro of Florida; and five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Joseph M. DeGennaro Sr., and the brother of the late Sergio and Constanza DeGennaro.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, with a service at 10 a.m. in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Harris Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 5-8 p.m., with a Panachida Service at 7 p.m.
