Nancy D. Lind - Cumberland

Nancy D. Lind, formerly of Leonard Street, Cumberland, passed away Monday, April 21, at Woonsocket Health Center.

She was the wife of the late Frank O. Lind Jr. Born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Butler) Dursin, she had resided in Cumberland for most of her life, previously residing in Woonsocket. She was a 1944 graduate of Woonsocket High School and a 1948 graduate of Julliard College School of Music. She was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church, where she was a CCD teacher and a member of the church choir. She also was a member of the Peloquin Choir and was a noted singer in Woonsocket for many years, performing on various local radio stations. She leaves three sons, Frank O. Lind III of Brooklyn, N.Y., Matthew Lind of Providence and Peter Lind of Lincoln; four daughters, Christine LaFlamme of Cumberland, Catherine Finstein of Warwick, Mary Poluvatzick of Cumberland and Amy Kean of Warwick; and 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Michael P. Lind and the sister of the late Henry Dursin, Marilyn Ring and Harriet Carpenter.

Her funeral will be held Friday, April 25, at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket. Relatives are kindly invited.
