She was the wife of William A. Houle; they had been married for 47 years. Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late George and Rose (Beausoleil) Adams, she had lived in Smithfield for 36 years and in Cranston for three years before retiring to Florida. She was an established hairdresser and former owner of the Orchid Room Beauty Salon in Smithfield. She also owned the Carpenter Tours Agency in Cranston and B.P. Painting in Smithfield, retiring in 2004. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and socializing. She cherished being a mother and spending time with her four grandchildren. Besides her husband she leaves a son William A. Houle and his wife Mandi of Cranston; a daughter, Lisa P. Haerick and her husband Richard of Cumberland; and her grandchildren, Danielle, Troy, Tyler and Brianna.
A memorial Mass in her honor, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Friday, May 9, at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church, 35876 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. For messages of condolence please visit www.andersonwinfield.net
