Lymansville memorabilia sought at the Mancini Center

NORTH PROVIDENCE - The Salvatore Mancini Resource and Activity Center, 2 Atlantic Blvd., announces the following activities.

Hearing health consultations will be offered on Friday, May 9, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The screenings are free and appointments are not required.

Local author and history buff Judith Pistacchio-Bessette will be at the Center on Friday, May 9, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. She is seeking information, artifacts, photographs and newspaper articles on the village of Lymansville for a book she is writing. Photos will be scanned and returned.

A Living Well Rhode Island orientation and class registration will be held Monday, May 12, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The free, informative self-help course consists of six sessions beginning Friday, May 23.

A "Reinventing Retirement" mini-course will be held on Wednesdays, May 14, 21 and 28. The class fee is $30, payable in full at the first class.

A men's pool tournament will be held on Thursday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Spring Fling 2008 will be held Friday, May 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $7 and are on sale in the foyer. The event will feature dancing to the music of Tom Conte. Refreshments will be provided. Transportation is available.

Tickets are now available for evening bingo to be held Fridays, May 23 and June 27, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per person.
