NORTH PROVIDENCE - The Salvatore Mancini Resource and Activity Center, 2 Atlantic Blvd., announces the following programs.

A digital television broadcasting conversion and technology update and information session will be held on Monday, May 19, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and Tuesday, May 27, from 1 to 2 p.m. Both sessions will contain the same information.

A book club organizational and sign-up meeting will be held Tuesday, May 20, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Anyone interested in participating in the newly formed book club is welcome to attend. The book "Charade" by Sandra Brown will be discussed at the meeting. Sign up in the Activities Department.

A health care information presentation "Spring Safety: Fall Prevention for Seniors" is set for Tuesday, May 20, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

The North Providence Taxpayers Association will have an information table at the center on Wednesday, May 21, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

A May birthday celebration will be held Wednesday, May 21. Entertainment begins at 11 a.m., lunch is served at noon.

Eye health screenings will be available Thursday, May 22, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Screenings are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

A morning bocce tournament and luncheon, sponsored by the Village at Waterman Lake, is set for Thursday, May 22, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sign-up deadline is today, May 14.

Celebrate Memorial Day on Friday, May 23. Entertainment begins at 11 a.m. The event will include a Color Guard demonstration. Luncheon reservations required.

The Caregiver's Education and Support Group will meet Friday, May 23, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Tickets for evening bingo on Friday, May 23, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. are available in the center's foyer. The cost is $10 per person.
