With the season hitting the stretch run, there is no clear cut leader in any of the six Rhode Island Senior Softball League divisions.
In each division, two or more teams still have a chance to take the regular season title.
During games on Sunday, Ray Sewell Income Tax Service retained its slim hold on first place in the A-1 Division by sweeping a pair of games from the A-2 Pond House squad, 14-1 and 8-0.
Action Auto kept pace with Sewell by taking a pair from Elmwood Sports, 7-5 and 14-2; and My Cousin Vinny swept Francis Farm A, 18-11 and 14-12.
Sewell leads A-1 at 13-1, followed by Action Auto, 12-2, and My Cousin Vinny, 12-6.
In A-2, 133 Club is first at 6-10, followed by Francis Farm A, 7-12; Elmwood Sports, 6-12; and Pond House, 4-15.
In the B-1 Division, The Valley Breeze continued its winning ways, sweeping Foxwoods Casino, 21-14 and 17-11, while Nassa 60 and Governor Francis split. Governor Francis won the first, 14-4, and lost the second, 9-1.
The Valley Breeze is in first at 16-4, followed by Nassa Flooring 60, 11-9; Foxwoods, 8-12, and Governor Francis Inn, 8-12.
In B-2/B-3 play, Clark & Sons took two from Anderson-Winfield, 14-4 and 14-8; Paul's and Abbott Action split, 5-15 and 8-4; Woodmansee Insurance and Francis Farm B split, 10-3 and 7-14; and Round House Tavern and Nassa 65 split, 12-0 and 16-21.
Clark & Sons leads the B-2 at 14-6, followed by Round House, 12-8; Paul's, 10-12, and Woodmansee, 9-12.
In B-3, Nassa 65 is in first place at 12-8, followed by Francis Farm B, 12-9; Abbott Action, 6-16; and Anderson-Winfield, 4-16.
In C Division play, El Azteca Restaurant split with Nelson Mack VFW, 7-11 and 13-4; Wanskuck Post American Legion crept closer to the lead by sweeping Atwood Tan, 15-0 and 7-5; Graziano Marble and Tile took two from Cam Engineering, 14-7 and 11-6; and CVS swept SJK Landscaping, 11-10 and 8-1.
El Azteca is in first at 17-3, followed by Wanskuck Post, 15-5; Nelson Mack VFW, 14-6; Atwood Tan, 12-8; CVS, 8-12; Graziano, 8-12; Cam Engineering, 4-16; and SJK Landscaping, 2-18.
