CUMBERLAND - The Valley Breeze entry in the Rhode Island Senior Softball League strengthened its hold on first place in the B-1 Division by sweeping a pair of games from Foxwoods Casino, 17-11 and 21-14 Sunday at Tucker Field.

Roger Pincince was the winning pitcher in both games.

Leading the offense were Gerry Deshaies with seven hits, including a homer; John Balcewicz and Leo Donovan, six hits each; and Roger Lepage and Norm Coggeshall, five hits each, with one of Lepage's a homer.

The team moved to 16-4 for the season.
