WOONSOCKET - More than 100 supporters of Senior Services Inc. attended its 4th annual spring gala on April 29 at Savini's Restaurant.

Roberta M. Hawkins, executive director of the Alliance for Better Longterm Care and head of the state Ombudsman program, received the Outstanding Senior Advocate Award. She was honored for 30 years of advocacy on behalf of nursing home residents and recipients of other longterm care services.

Senior Services also celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Alternative Adult Care Center, a day program for frail adults living in the community.
