Did you see the sneaky change Facebook made?

Every 60 Seconds On Facebook

Every 60 seconds on Facebook, there are: 510 comments on posts, 293,000 status updates, and 136,000 photos uploaded. (Source: The Social Skinny) 42% of marketers say that Facebook is critical to their business. So why are you ignoring your Facebook page? Facebook pages are sort of like fine china, they shouldn’t collect dust and they shouldn’t sit behind the $5 knick knack on your mantle. Here’s to putting our digital white gloves on and wiping off the dust that’s otherwise known as “Last updateD September 2015”.

One great way to update your Facebook page is to change out the cover photo and the profile photo on a monthly basis. It can be tied to a promotion going on for that month, or themed from the season we are in. Better yet, you can run contests on Facebook and have your profile and cover photos represent the contest. Whatever the case is, you should be updating your artwork on a monthly basis. Oh and by the way, this is besides your regular postings each week.

Facebook recently changed the look of the desktop version of business pages. There’s no action on your part to make this update, it already happened. Here’s what they changed and how you can take advantage of it.

Updated Layout

The updated layout features a cleaner design where your profile picture doesn't overlap with your cover photo. The cover photo still displays on desktop at 828 x 315 pixels while the profile picture displays at 160 x 160 pixels. Also, your Page name and username are now displayed on the left side of your Page below your profile picture.
