Walter “Walt” A. Richmond – Pennsylvania

Walter “Walt” A. Richmond passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 86.

Mr. Richmond earned his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and his master’s degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University. He worked as an electrical engineer for the former General Electric Company Aerospace Division in King of Prussia, PA.

Walt was a member and an elder of Valley Forge Presbyterian Church in King of Prussia. Walt was a U.S. Army veteran.

Born in Woonsocket, R.I., on October 18, 1930, he was a son of the late Henry and Florence (Patterson) Richmond. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 62 years, Shirley (Morse) Richmond; a son, David E. Richmond, and his wife, Linda, of King of Prussia, PA; two daughters, Dianne E. Lewkowicz and her husband, Ron, of Wayne, PA, and Elissa Wolford and her husband, Ross, of Fleetwood, PA; nine granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Richmond and his wife, Cindy, of Lincoln, R.I., and John Richmond of Connecticut; and many other loving family members.

Walt’s Funeral Service will be held at the Valley Forge Presbyterian Church, 191 Town Center Road, King of Prussia, PA, on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at 11 am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 10 to 10:50 a.m., at the church. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Walt’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd., Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422, and/or the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214.
