Valentine Whitman House presents ‘Iron-jawed Angles’ on Friday

LINCOLN – The Historic Valentine Whitman House will present historic interpreter Patricia Perry’s show “Iron-jawed Angels” on Friday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m., at the Valentine Whitman House, 1147 Great Road.

Iron-jawed angels was the term used to describe women who were fighting to get the vote for women. It is a tale of courage and true grit as these women were faced with pressure from their government, politicians and their families.

Learn how these brave women faced off with men, fathers, brothers and husbands to finally get the 19th Amendment passed.

The cost of the show is $10 per person and seating is very limited. Call Pat at 401-334-2182 to make reservations. There will be refreshments before and after the show.
