Lincoln’s Food for Fines runs through Saturday

LINCOLN – The Lincoln Public Library is holding its 30th annual Food for Fines event through Saturday, Dec. 9.

Patrons may bring any overdue books and DVDs to the circulation desk at the library, 145 Old River Road, as well as one unexpired, non-perishable food item per overdue book and have any fines waived.

All food collected will be distributed to local families in need through Lincoln’s Holiday Basket Program. The following would be appreciated: cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, packaged turkey stuffing, pasta sauce and canned vegetables. Consider donating a canned good even if you don’t have an overdue item.

For more information, call the library at 401-333-2422.
