Normand J. Morrissette – Cumberland

Normand J. Morrissette, 79, of Fisher Road, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Muriel (Delisle) Morrissette. Mr. & Mrs. Morrissette had been married for 49 years.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Roger and Eva (Simard) Morrissette, he had lived in Cumberland for the past 36 years.

Mr. Morrissette worked as a data processor at American Insulated Wire before retiring.

An avid gardener and lace draftsman, he enjoyed making floral arrangements, and had an “eye for design.”

He was a communicant of Historic St. Joseph Church, Cumberland, and a former member of Council #5876, Knights of Columbus, South Attleboro, Mass.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lori Lavallee, and her husband Ned, of Foxboro, Mass.; one son, Neil Morrissette of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Lauren Lavallee, Anna Lavallee, and Charlie Lavallee. He was the brother of the late Alice Morrissette.

His funeral will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018, at 9 a.m. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., in Historic St. Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m.
