Nora J. Lemire – Foster

Nora J. Lemire, of Foster, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at the Woodpecker Hill Nursing Home. She was the loving wife of Bernard Lemire Sr. Nora was born in Rice City, R.I., to the late Christine (McLean) Decker and the late Michael Kelley.

Nora was the secretary, food pantry director, and Sunday school teacher at the Church of the Messiah in Foster, R.I. She received the Foster Clergy Association Citizen of the Year Award in 1991. Nora loved knitting, crocheting, gardening, all animals big and small. She also loved her grandchildren, a full house and spending time with family.

Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Kim Angell and her husband, Allen, of Foster, Patricia Harnedy of Foster, Karen Lemire of Chepachet; two sons, Bernard Lemire Jr., and his wife, Leslie, of Salem, Ore., David Lemire and his wife, Kelly, of Foster; three grandchildren, Brooke Angell, Jessie Angell, Leahanna Tucker; three great-grandsons, Isaiah, Keigan, and Jacen. She was the grandmother of the late Matthew Angell.
