Evelyn M. “Nennie” Heroux – North Smithfield

Evelyn M. “Nennie” Heroux. 83, of Hanton Road, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at The Holiday.

She was the loving wife of Rene R. Heroux. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Yvonne (Cotnoir) Corbett.

Nennie worked for New England Telephone for more than 40 years. She started out as an operator and worked her way up to an administration position. She was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church where she volunteered and participated in several church activities.

Besides her husband she leaves her nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Csizmesia of Blackstone, Michael Csizmesia of Narragansett, Paula and Jennifer Csizmesia both of Manville, Eric Csizmesia of Harker Heights, Texas, and Kriston Csizmesia of Pawtucket; a cousin and close friend, Lucille Kilcline, of Greenville; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Jane Csizmesia.

A Mass of Intention will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018, at 8 a.m., in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket. Private burial will be held at the discretion of the family.
