Norman E. Hebert – Cumberland

Norman E. Hebert, 86, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Carol (Remington) Hebert. They were happily married for 62 years. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Costigan) Hebert.

Norm was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was an electrician for Aubin’s Tri-State Electric for 38 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Thomas Council, Cumberland, and the St. Patrick Seniors. Norman along with his wife, Carol, summered in Buttonwoods since 1966.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Hebert and his wife, Dawn, Cathleen Laverty and her husband, David, Judith Hebert, Norman Hebert Jr., and Jessica Folan and her husband, Bart; his sister, Constance Pinkham, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Muriel Laverty.

The funeral will be held Thursday, June 7, at 9 a.m., from the O’Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., in Saint Aidan’s Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours Wednesday, June 6, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the O’Neill Funeral Home.
