McCann: Council has lost sight of the people

CUMBERLAND – Tim McCann, running for Town Council in District 3, said the current council “has lost sight” of constituents.

“Stripping the police of funds to combat traffic violations is not in the best interest of the town, yet on May 31, 2018, that’s what our current council voted to do,” he said. “This act goes right against one of the biggest issues we face in District 3. As your councilor, I will represent your needs and fight for you.”

McCann said it’s been rewarding walking neighborhoods.

“From Pauline and Mike on Shirley Drive, to Chris and Paul on England Street, from Mary and Dennis on Highland Avenue to Marina and Stephen on Bear Hill Road, my goals and yours are aligned,” he said, saying he wants to keep taxes down, fund schools and police, limit development and develop a plan for a new senior center.
