Azar wants answers about H&H Screw property

LINCOLN - Louis Azar, candidate for town administrator in Lincoln, stated in a press release that the recent news about the town selling the H&H Screw property for $100,000 without collecting the more than 10 years of accumulated interest is "most distressing."

Azar said the property is valued at $1.6 million.

"The tax sales were published in the newspapers and the town's website, but no record I could find for a public auction," he said.

If elected, he said, he intends to ask the Attorney General to convene a grand jury to investigate the "fiscal disaster."
